Most of our new year’s resolutions included cutting out something unhealthy out of our diet. Well, as some might say January was a trial month; our new year in actuality started this February!
So we’re cutting sugar out of our diet for 28 days. Let’s consider this a challenge to follow and reward ourselves with… well chocolate cake on day 29!
We’re not saying give up your bananas and peanut butter; just throw away your cookies and brownies. Aside from the weight gain factor, studies have shown that sugar causes tooth decay, hypertension, diabetes, and depression. That’s only the beginning! Cutting sugar out of your diet will shock your body at first and you will cause sugar withdrawal symptoms. This will only last for a couple of days. Replace sugar with other healthy alternatives such as honey or Stevia. Stick to organic substitutes as a way of rewarding your body with the best of the best.
