There was a lot that could not be ignored at the Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter show. Models strutted adorning D&G clothing; this time the collection was meant to pay homage to the baroque Oratorio di Santa Cita church in Palermo, Sicily – island of Dolce’s birth.
The designers called this their Fashion Devotion collection. It was fabricated and made of everything from exquisitely crafted Vatican City vestment brocades, reduced velvet (green, cardinal crimson, Venetian pink), and plush embroidery all the way down to profane slogans on sweatshirts and T-shirts appropriated from the aesthetics of the souvenir stall.
Fabrics, colors, accessories, we were definitely impressed and cannot wait to explore the collection.
