Dolce&Gabbana spring/summer 2019 is a master class of their greatest hits. After a few seasons of working with millennials, the duo is ready to turn the page. Rather than catering to the younger crowd, they’ve learnt to listen to what people wanted: classic Dolce&Gabbana. 

The tailoring remained razor sharp. Think embellished gold detailing, jacquard baroque prints and vibrant pops of colour. Even their casual options were just as opulent. Silk printed camp collar shirts and T-shirts, huge fur coats worn with denim jeans and sandals, and heavy embellished blousons. 

There are a lot of words that can be used to describe the collection – opulent, over the top, in your face, maximalist; words often associated with Dolce&Gabbana. But in this collection, they’ve stuck to the staples that they’ve built their empire on and fused in a healthy dose of youthful swagger.
