Within the curated space visitors can discover the exclusive Middle East capsule collections designed by Les Benjamins, Marcelo Burlon, Blood Brother as well as the season’s latest collections by McQ and Public School.
Les Benjamins – Bunyamin Aydin, Founder and Creative Director of the leading Turkish fashion label has designed twenty-seven pieces as part of the Les Benjamins x Bloomingdale’s capsule collection exclusively available at Bloomingdale’s in Dubai and Kuwait.
With travel, photography, art and design all passions close to the heart of the designer, he explains the drive behind Les Benjamins x Bloomingdale’s, “The inspiration for this collaboration was the hybrid of cities Kuwait, Dubai and Los Angeles and the love for skating, sand boarding and surfing. The colors are also stimulated from the visuals and tones you see around both vibrant cities,” says Bunyamin.
The collection consists of unisex styles with shades of aqua, white and black. Iconic pictures of the Dubai, Kuwait and Los Angeles skyline as well as landmarks of both cities are printed on white tee shirts, hoodies and jackets.
Tee-shirt graphics include the dominant Kuwait skyscrapers with a Los Angeles skate park in the forefront, as well as a Venice Beach lifeguard stations amongst the desert.
Marcelo Burlon – A highly sought-after DJ, photographer, and designer, Marcelo Burlon founded his Milan-based label in 2012 to translate his cross-cultural upbringing and travels into dramatic urban wear for men and women.
Showcasing bold international graphics and modern athletic styles, his vibrant collections celebrate global diversity and the art of performance.
Blood Brother – Blood Brother is a British fashion brand with a cutting- edge approach to creating menswear, footwear and accessories collections.
Blood Brother defines itself by a highly distinctive, precision-led aesthetic. With its signature nod towards a utilitarian visual language, its sartorial garment construction and its iconic technical outerwear, Blood Brother fuses the subtleties of contemporary fashion design and garment construction with the essentialities of comfort and functionality.
“When working on this project for Bloomingdales, we wanted to encapsulate the spirit of the region, and the G wagon (much loved in house by creative Director Nicholas Biela) served as inspiration for the collection, the G wagon is a car much seen in Dubai and it’s the “details” that make it such a timeless classic,”Says James Waller, Founder and Brand Director. “For this graphically led capsule we searched through rare vintage brochure imagery, utilising classic G class colours and illustrations to tell our story.”
McQ – Fusing the craftsmanship of Savile Row tailoring with a sense of theater, McQueen’s menswear brought polish to rebellious and punk-influenced designs.
The McQ diffusion line was launched in 2006 and focuses on a youthful customer. Signature McQueen imagery including razorblades, skulls, and floral prints appears on casual staples: smart blazers, low-top skate shoes, graphic t-shirts, and neoprene sweatshirts.
Public School – Influenced by the energy of New York City where they were both born and raised, Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne fused their love of streetwear and high fashion to launch the award-winning, cult-favorite Public School brand.
