Initially code-named the AM-RB 003, Aston Martin has formally named their next hypercar Valhalla. Taken from Norse mythology, the name reflects a warrior’s paradise. Following in the formidable wheel-tracks of the earlier Valkyrie, the new Valhalla’s stats will be nerve-janglingly seismic.

Expect power of over 1000bhp – courtesy of hybridization and turbocharging, and 0 – 100kmh in less than 3 seconds. The price-tag of this all carbon-fiber hypercar is reassuringly high at $2 million, and the marque will make just 500 examples – one of which you’ll see on screen in the next James Bond movie.

We’ll have more on the Valhalla soon.
