Dina Hafez is a designer and artist best known for her signature style of colorful mixed media pieces that combine craft, graphic design, and photography. For over six years, Dina’s work encapsulates the essence of authenticity while staying contemporary and relevant.

Born and raised in Cairo, Dina is a self-taught artist whose investment in materials and techniques, processes often disregarded as “women’s work” or skilled labor, explores the way personal history intersects with cultural forms. In her latest pieces, Dina’s experimental work with beads and sequin reinvents the potentiality of the craft and champions surface patterns and decorative motifs.

Dina has a BA from the American University in Cairo and an MA in Arts and Heritage Management from Maastricht University, the Netherlands. She is currently a Cultural Specialist working on some of Egypt’s largest cultural heritage preservation projects. Dina is also a wife, a mother, and an entrepreneur of the lifestyle brand for textiles and home accessories, Karma from Egypt, which she founded in 2011.
