Mandarin Oriental, Geneva has opened its highly successful pop-up restaurant, Le Chalet by Mandarin Oriental, for a third consecutive winter holiday season. A favourite destination of ours!

Located within the hotel’s Café Calla restaurant, the specially designed, wooden chalet-style pop-up will serve authentic Swiss cuisine in a warm and friendly atmosphere until 9 March 2018. Guests can enjoy the chalet experience to the full by booking a one-night stay with the hotel’s Traditional Swiss Fondue Delight accommodation offer.

Cosy and inviting, the chalet is a mountain-style winter retreat in the heart of city. A la carte specialties include carefully selected delights from the local countryside, including Gruyère and Vacherin fondue served with steamed potatoes, and either bacon, mushrooms or truffle. This year’s special is an Indian fondue made with red onions, green pepper, Madras curry and fresh coriander. Traditional main courses include Zurich-style veal, while Meringue with Gruyère cream are among desserts. Three-course set menus priced from CHF 62 are available too.

With richly decorated wooden interiors and waiters dressed in traditional Swiss outfits, the chalet is the perfect venue for year-end events and other winter afterwork parties. With seating for up to 54 guests, and a further 12 diners in a private salon, the chalet is ideal for holiday season gatherings and can be booked exclusively for lunch or dinner.

Le Chalet is open for dinner from Monday to Saturday, 7pm – 10pm. Reservations recommended, please dial +41 (22) 909 00 00 or contact our dedicated team by email at
