Take a private viewing of Lebanese designer Elie Saab’s Autumn 2019 Haute Couture collection where he turns to traditional Japanese and Chinese wardrobes and expresses opulent feminism in a way only Saab can do. With waists accentuated by metal, gold and velvet obi belts, embroidered lace kimonos, gigot sleeves, flat collars and asymmetric cuts. The volumes range from airy lightness of tulles to heavy opulent velvets, from silk drapes to the rigidness of the edges of the overstitched sleeves.
