It’s the first fair of the year, setting the scene and previewing the trends for the twelve months to come. It’s also a fabulous showcase with no equivalent anywhere in the world, as much for its prestigious exhibitors as the quality of its infrastructure.
For its 2018 edition, which will run from January 15th to 19th, Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie continues to enjoy successful and carefully managed growth.
Thirty-five exhibitors (including no fewer than six new arrivals), a day for the general public (carrying on from last year’s success), the launch of a unique networking and content hub at the heart of the fair: Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie gains in size and scope.
Here’s Passions Arabia’s handpicked highlights from Day One.
A. Lange & Soehne – Triple Split
Van Cleef & Arpels – Marguerite Secrète Watch
Light and spring-like, daisies have blossomed in the Maison’s creations since the 1920s. This year, the flower blooms anew as a guardian of time, preserving the hours beneath a heart of yellow sapphires. When raised, the latter reveals a diamond dial that echoes the sparkle of the petals.
Vacheron Constantin – FIFTYSIX
Panerai – Lo Scienziato Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Titanio – 47mm
A new version of one of the most surprising creations of the Panerai Manufacture: Lo Scienziato with a 3D-printed titanium case and the P.2005/T skeletonised movement with tourbillon regulator.
Piaget – Altiplano Ultimate Concept
